Rich Littledale
Rich is founder of PeopleUp, providing coaching and leadership advisory to startups and scaleups, working primarily with founders and their leadership teams. He also works freelance with a number of premier leadership consultancies, where he coaches, facilitates at events, and advises on leadership capability for FTSE 100 and international clients. Prior to starting his own business Rich headed up the Digital Leadership team at YSC Consulting.
Experience
Rich is a coach, leadership consultant and Chartered Occupational Psychologist. His 20 year career has taken him to some interesting places: pitching to MI6 in the SIS (James Bond) building; evaluating firefighters in the middle of a strike; briefing the treasury on candidates for CEO of the Financial Conduct Authority; advising Lloyds Banking Group on the leadership traits required for a successful Digital Transformation; coaching a fintech CEO to prepare for an upcoming IPO; sitting on the board of a startup (Poli) as NED. The thread that connects these is the application of psychology to help people and organisations perform at their best.
Strengths
Rich’s strengths include a deep understanding of the psychology of entrepreneurship, and the strengths and risks that come with that; leading in a “move fast and break things” culture; helping founders and leaders sharpen their skills and communicate without losing what makes them great and different. He also applies startup thinking – product, design thinking, lean, agile – to his own practice as a psychologist and consultant. His clients tell him that he makes them think with rigour and test their assumptions. He does this with humanity, empathy and with positive intent.
